What to Expect
Piano for Paws is about coming together for an evening of great music and good company. Arrive ready to enjoy the show, share a meal with friends and neighbors, and participate in community-centered fun throughout the night. Details about food, timing, and activities are covered elsewhere on this page, including in At a Glance, Food, and Schedule.
Food
All food at Piano for Paws is offered on a donation basis. There are no set prices. Guests are welcome to enjoy food and contribute an amount that feels comfortable to them.
An Italian dinner will be served starting at 5:00 PM and will be available while supplies last. Dinner is offered during the early part of the evening and may sell out.
If you’re purchasing tickets in advance and plan to enjoy the dinner, we ask that you let us know how many people in your group expect to eat. This helps us plan appropriately and avoid unnecessary food waste.
After dinner service ends, light snacks such as hot dogs and nachos will be available by donation and are typically offered through the rest of the evening.
A bake sale table will be available throughout the event. Baked goods are also donation based. You choose what you would like and give what feels appropriate.
Food donations help support the costs of the event and allow more of the evening’s proceeds to benefit the dogs at the Morrow County Dog Shelter.
As a heads-up, food and bake sale donations are accepted by cash, Venmo, or PayPal. We won’t have credit card processing available for food items, so bringing cash or having a mobile payment option available is helpful.
Raffles and Silent Auction
Piano for Paws features several fun ways to participate throughout the evening, including basket raffles, a 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction. Guests are welcome to browse, participate in as much or as little as they’d like, and enjoy the experience at their own pace.
Basket raffles
Throughout the venue, you’ll find themed baskets and collections of donated items displayed on tables for viewing. Raffle tickets can be purchased from a volunteer. To enter, simply place your raffle ticket in the jar in front of the item or basket you’d like to win. At the end of the evening, one ticket will be drawn from each jar, and the selected ticket wins that item.
50/50 raffle
We’ll also offer a 50/50 raffle during the event. Tickets are sold throughout the evening, and the winning ticket is drawn near the end of the night. Half of the total proceeds go to the winner, and the other half supports Friends of the Morrow County Dog Shelter.
Silent auction
Silent auction items will be displayed with a bid sheet nearby. Guests can place bids by writing their name and bid amount on the sheet. Bidding remains open throughout the evening, and the highest bidder at the close of the auction wins the item.
Raffle winners will be announced after the dueling piano performance, with announcements expected to conclude between 10:00 and 11:00 PM. Winners must be present to claim raffle and auction items, as items are not available for delivery after the event.
