Donations play a meaningful role in making Piano for Paws the kind of night people look forward to all year. From raffle items and baked treats to donated services that support the event behind the scenes, each contribution helps create a welcoming, memorable evening while directly supporting the dogs at our local shelter. Choosing to donate is a simple way to make a real impact, and we’re truly grateful for that generosity.
What can I donate?
If you’re donating an item, service, or baked goods, the notes below will help you choose the best category and give you a sense of what works well for the event. If you’re making a monetary contribution, you can jump straight to the form.

🎟️Raffle Items
Raffle items help fill our raffle tables and are a beloved part of the evening. Donations may include gift baskets, themed bundles, gift certificates, services, experiences, locally made items, or other donated goods from individuals or businesses. Entire baskets or individual items that can be combined into baskets are welcome!
Examples include:
- Services (oil changes, haircuts, grooming, detailing, lessons, etc.)
- Business-branded or “promote your business” baskets (products, gift cards, or services)
- Local handmade or artisan items
- Certificates or experiences (dining, entertainment, classes, activities)
Popular raffle basket ideas include sports team baskets, Italian dinner or food-focused baskets, gardening baskets, spa baskets, date-night experiences, or lottery ticket bundles.
🏷️Silent Auction Items
Silent auction items typically include higher-value goods, certificates, experiences, art, or specialty baskets that guests can bid on during the event.
Examples include Race Weekend bundles, Concert Tickets, Beverage themed baskets, etc.
🍪Bake Sale Donations
We welcome donations of individually wrapped baked goods, including cookies, brownies, breads, and other treats, including dog treats. Full-sized cakes, pies, and pans of desserts are also appreciated. Perishable items that require refrigeration cannot be accepted.
📋General Supplies and Services
Some donations don’t fit neatly into a raffle or auction category, but still make a big difference in helping us host Piano for Paws.
Examples include:
- Printing or signage services
- Photography or videography
- Décor items or event setup materials
- Event supplies such as baskets, bags, or display items
If you’re considering donating general supply items, we usually ask that those be provided as a monetary contribution so we can coordinate quantities and logistics more effectively. If you’re interested in donating a service, we’re happy to talk through the details with you.

💛Monetary Contributions
Monetary donations help support the Morrow County Dog Shelter and offset event-related expenses. These contributions allow us to direct funds where they are needed most, including event coordination, supplies, and shelter support.
